Thompson’s Point Parking Portal

Feel free to explore the information below. Forms, downloadable information and helpful links are available at the bottom of this page.

Thompson’s Point employee and tenant parking is intended to support your needs during business hours and when you’re working at the Point. If you have questions about qualifying for additional personal vehicles, please contact your employer directly. Please be advised that your entry into this database must first be approved by your employer prior to submittal as there are fees immediately associated with your information being recorded.

As an active Transportation Demand Management(TDM) site, Thompson's Point encourages alternatives to single occupancy vehicle(SOV) use including walking, biking, rideshare, carpool and the use of alternative and environmentally friendly modes of transportation. We are always open to new strategies to encourage and facilitate employee and guest use of these environmentally friendly alternatives, so please feel free to reach out directly to us with suggestions. If you are interested in ways to reduce your company's SOV use, please visit the links below.

FREQUENTLY ASKED EMPLOYEE QUESTIONS

  • Thompson’s Point is a pay-to-park campus, 24/7, weekends and holidays. Parking is available starting at $2 per hour and payment can be made using any of our 14 conveniently located kiosks or, on the Passport Parking app, zone 1213.

Thompson’s Point is a privately owned and operated campus and manages all parking in-house. This allows us to best understand the complexities of our guest and tenant transportation, parking, transit demand needs and streamlines our ability to develop opportunities in the future for our growing campus.

As a Transportation Demand Management(TDM) site, Thompson’s Point encourages the use of alternative modes of transportation. Those modes and the relationships that we have developed to encourage those alternatives can be explored at our Hike | Bike | Ride page.

  • We ask that all vehicle information be submitted at least 24 hours prior to your arrival on campus. This allows us to receive and record your information and confirm your submission with your employer.

If your vehicle is not yet registered, you must pay-to-park at the standard rate of $2 per hour or request that your employer validate your parking payment in the interim.

  • Your vehicle registration qualifies you to park in the employee parking area assigned to your vehicle only. All other parking is prioritized for patrons. This allows for the maximization of guest parking for all tenants and neighbors.

Please see the map above for location.

  • No. If you are coming to campus as a guest, please park in guest areas.

All employee parking areas are intended for use during an individual’s work hours only. Vehicles found to be misusing employee parking areas are eligible for citation, booting, or towing.

  • No. Thompson’s Point has no long-term, overnight parking or camping.
Long-term and overnight parking is available at the Portland Transportation Center.

  • The Commercial Loading Zone is a shared use zone for tenants and is intended for loading and unloading only. • If you believe you received this ticket in error, please submit an appeal using the instructions on the front of your citation so that we may investigate your case and correct any errors. Appeals may be submitted within 15 days of receipt of citation on the Thompson’s Point RMC Pay Website.

PLEASE NOTE: As your citation is linked to your personal vehicle, we do not advise handing your ticket to someone else for follow-up. If a ticket is lost by a third party, or there is not sufficient follow up on your behalf, you may be solely responsible for escalating fees, booting or towing at your expense, and we don’t want to see that!

  • If there is an emergency at your establishment and you anticipate the need for someone’s vehicle to be on campus longer than expected, please be in touch with our team:
    parking@thompsonspointmaine.com

  • Multiple vehicle registration is determined by your employer. If you would like to register more than one vehicle, please be in touch with your employers parking liaison for approval.

  • Please be advised that if you have multiple citations, you may be eligible for booting or towing at your expense per our policy:
Vehicles with three or more unpaid citations are eligible for booting or towing upon the issuance of the 4th citation.

Vehicles with unpaid citations must reconcile those balances prior to registration acceptance.

It is always in the best interest of the parker to settle their open citation(s) to assure no further action or escalation occurs. This can be done on the RMC Pay Website.
