How much is daily parking?
$2 per hour. The Thompson’s Point campus is pay to park 24/7, weekends and holidays.
How do I go about paying?
Similar to the City of Portland, we are partnered with the Passport Parking App! It makes it easy to pay to park or reload sessions directly from your phone. The app can send you reminders when your session is expiring and can save your frequently used zones for hassle free parking.
Not a smartphone user? We also have 14 conveniently located kiosks available for use as well!
Please remember that our kiosks tickets are pay-and-display and need to be located on your dashboard and visible to our enforcement team at all times.
What's your Passport Parking zone #?
How long do I have before I have to start paying for parking?
I'd like to mail my citation payment. Where do I send it?
Citation payments may be mailed to the following address:
Attn: Forefront Parking
18 Van Aken Way
Portland, ME, 04102
PLEASE NOTE that you must include your citation, citation number or license plate number with your payment so that your payment may be remitted to the proper account.
What I was parking for is closed/sold out, can I get a refund?
Similarly to the City of Portland, we cannot control the hours or ticket status of local businesses. We do not issue parking refunds if you discover the business you are traveling to is closed or sold out.
Please be sure to check with the business you are visiting prior to making your way to campus, that way, paying for parking you may not use fully can be avoided.
I'm just dropping someone off, is there a place for that?
Can I camp overnight?
I found a kiosk that isn't working. Who do I report that to?
You can report that by filling out this quick FORM!
Please note: if a kiosk is out of order, a parker must begin a session using another one of the 14 conveniently located kiosks on campus, or begin an active session using the Passport Parking App! Vehicles without an active session are eligible for ticketing, booting or towing at owners expense.
Can I get towed? If so, who do I call?
Yes. Thompson’s Point tows illegally parked vehicles from designated tow zones, no standing zones, pedestrian walkways and no parking areas in order to improve traffic flow and eliminate hazardous conditions.
In addition, your car may be towed if you owe three or more unpaid parking tickets or your vehicle is left for over 24 hours.
If your vehicle was towed for any of these reasons and you are trying to retrieve it, you may contact Yaz Towing at (207)671-4461.
Please note that if your vehicle was towed due to multiple unpaid citations, you will still need to pay the total amount due prior to returning to site, including all outstanding tickets, fees, fines and penalties or your vehicle will remain eligible for towing upon return to Thompson’s Point.
I have an ADA Placard, do I still need to pay for parking?
Thompson’s Point has 20 conveniently located ADA parking locations adjacent to our neighbors and tenants for use by our guests. Registrant vehicles bearing valid and non-expired disabled plates or placards are exempt from meter fare and are entitled to park for twice the posted time limit at a meter or time zone.
Please note that ADA spaces are made available on a first come first serve basis and parking outside of these designated and labeled spaces require payment at all times.
I'm riding a motorcycle/scooter/ebike. Do I still need to pay to park?
We have a great motorcycle/scooter/ebike parking area(see the map below for details). If you are there, you may park without charge on non-major event nights. If you park in a vehicle spot elsewhere on campus, you must pay by the hour!
Please note that some of our major event series may require paid parking for motorcycles. If you’re unsure if an event you are traveling to qualifies, get in touch with us!
Can I unhitch and park my trailer/camper/equipment?
No. Please do not unhitch equipment on property. If you are towing a vehicle, trailer or camper, please park in one of our large parking areas located in the NW edge of campus.
If your vehicle is taking up multiple parking spaces, please note that you must pay per space.
I don't feel safe driving home. Can I leave my car?
We want everyone to get home safely. In an emergency, please be in touch with our event staff and notify them of your vehicle’s location.
Vehicles left for safety purposes must pay by-the-hour(via the Passport Parking app or area kiosk) for overnight storage and must be removed before 8am the following morning. Vehicle’s left without proof of payment are eligible for citation, booting or towing at owner’s expense. Camping is prohibited.
Can I park at Thompson's Point for a snowban?
