Thompson’s Point, a dynamic mixed-use neighborhood bringing together a wide variety of great Maine companies and family-focused arts, entertainment, and cultural offerings, is excited to announce that we’ll be bringing our popular Summer Sunsets with outdoor live music back to Portland, launching May 13th!

With Maine leading the country in vaccinations and the federal and state CDC guidelines relaxing for indoor and outdoor gathering, Thompson’s Point Presents is ready to ramp up programming this Spring in a big way.  We’re all ready to get back outside and enjoy some fun and festive time on the banks of the Fore River, gorgeous waterfront sunsets, an amazing mix of local food trucks, a full bar… and of course, LIVE MUSIC!

Starting May 13, every Thursday and Friday throughout the Summer and into early Fall, members of the public can come and see live performances by a range of amazing bands – “We’ve got some great ones on the books already (Travis Humphreys, The Nightshades, King Kyote, The Middle Men, Catcha Vibe, Stesha Cano) and more to come as the season gets rolling!” exclaims Davon Johnson, Event Development and Production Manager.

Entrance is complimentary and all shows are family friendly.  Well-behaved fur babies on leash are also encouraged.

Davon adds, “This community has spent the last year in the trenches, figuring out how to balance the human need for connection, culture, and community with the profound health and safety challenges presented by the pandemic. With music venues closing and restrictions on indoor events, the local scene has taken a huge hit. We could not be more excited to be bringing back our Summer programming, Sunsets Live!, now with regular live music from some of our best and most talented artists. This town deserves a hell of a summer and we aim to deliver!”

More live events are launching weekly through the summer, including larger capacity ticketed events, so keep an eye on the ever-expanding calendar of events found at www.thompsonspoint.com/the-calendar or follow their event updates on Facebook or Instagram.

We hope you will join us!
